Half Marathon Rescheduled for Oct. 31, 2020

Spring in Door County will not be the same without the half marathon this May, but we are grateful to be able to work with the park and our sponsors to find a date to keep this year’s tradition alive for our runners and the community that relies so heavily on the influx of visitors this event brings.

We are pleased to announce that we have selected a new date for the 2020 Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k. This year’s run will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 in Peninsula State Park!

All current registered participants will be automatically registered for the October 31st date.

Our team is working diligently to confirm all the details for the new date and will be announcing updates as quickly as we can.

We do understand that not everyone can participate on this new date, and below you’ll find details on transferring your registration.

We hope to see you at the starting line in October!

Registration Transfers

Though we are not able to offer refunds for the race due to the fact that most of our costs for staging the race are incurred long before race day (staff costs, medals, and shirts, for example), we are making arrangements to help runners transfer their registration to other individuals.

We are waiving the $10 registration transfer fee and have closed online registration for the time-being to encourage people to purchase registrations from existing runners.

Feel free to post on our Door County Half Marathon Facebook Page to advertise that you’re selling. You would then follow the directions on your Race Roster account to transfer your registration.

If you need assistance on transferring, please contact Jordan at jordan@peninsulapacers.com.

“I have run several races – and quite honestly this is the one of the best supported run ever. You do an EXCELLENT JOB on all levels. The support is amazing. The volunteers exceptional. I have ZERO complaints or suggestions.”

“I have done a few half marathons around the midwest and this is by far the best. The organization and communication is fantastic and so are the facilities and race perks. The route is also ideal: starting flat, allowing for the body to acclimate ; followed by a steep incline and then down hill once the body gets a little fatigued. I love it!”

Margaret Pennoyer

“I’ve raced all over the world and The Door County Half Marathon is one of my favorites.  It’s very well organized, it’s in the heart of beautiful and peaceful Door County, and the course rolls through some of the most picturesque half marathon miles in the world.”
