Event Guide
The 2026 Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k will be held May 2, 2026.
Run on an entirely closed, road course in Peninsula State Park. The race is capped at just 2,000 participants to give every runner the experience organizers envisioned when the race was founded around a table at Al Johnson’s 19 years ago.
The Nicolet Bay 5k that takes place the same morning and finishes at the same big finish line as the half marathon.
Half Marathon Registration includes:

• Beer or beverage and live music at our post-race party
• Eight aid stations and full course support

Race Information
The Door County Half Marathon is run on a closed, USATF-certified road course through one of the Midwest’s most revered destinations – Peninsula State Park. The race begins and ends just a few strides from Nicolet Bay Beach.
KEY TIMES
Friday, May 1
1-8 pm: Packet Pickup at Ephraim Village Hall (9996 Water St S, Ephraim, WI 54211)
Saturday, May 2 (RACE DAY)
8 – 9 am: Packet Pickup at Nicolet Bay
10 am: Half Marathon Race start
10:15 am: Nicolet Bay 5k start
11:00 am: Music at the Concourse
11:45 am: Approximate time of 5k Awards
12:30 am: Approximate time of the Half Marathon Awards
2:30 pm: Final shuttles leave race concourse
