Door County Half Marathon Team Championship
With the launch of registration for the 10th Door County Half Marathon, we’re excited to also announce the launch of the new Door County Half Marathon Team Championship!
This new component of the race adds another fun, competitive team element to the half marathon, with prizes for our top three teams.
Team Guidelines
Size: Each team must have at least 4 and as many as 16 members.
Team Requirements:
Teams must be comprised of the following four positions:
- Male or Female of any age
- Female of any age
- Master’s Male (40 or over)
- Master’s Female (40 or over)
Scoring: A team may have UP TO 16 members, but only the top 4 qualifying finishers (the first four members of a team that fulfill the team requirements listed above) will be scored. Results will be in order of total team time.
Note: If a team does not have a master’s female finisher and a master’s male finisher, and at least one other female finisher, it will be eliminated from the team competition.
Prizes: The winning team will be awarded a prize package consisting of lodging at a Door County resort and additional prizes from Door County businesses.
Fee: $5 per team member, charged at registration
Eligibility: Runners participating on teams will also be eligible for individual and age group awards and prizes.
To Register:
A Team Captain creates a team upon registering for the race. Once the team is created, the captain must recruit members to join the team by sharing the team name and password with recruits. Team members can join the team as they fill out their individual Door County Half Marathon registration form. Team registrants will be charged an additional $5 on their registration to help cover contest administrative costs.
